Stanleybet donates one million Euros to L'Aquila reconstruction

UK sports-betting group Stanleybet International, which operates a number of outlets in the earthquake hit Italian city of L'Aquila, today made a significant contribution to the fundraising efforts designed to help those affected by the disaster.

The company's shareholders will donate the money to the City Council of L'Aquila for public utility activities including schools and hospitals relating to the reconstruction of L'Aquila following the worst Italian earthquake in 30 years.

 

 

 

John Whittaker, Managing Director of Stanleybet International, commented: "The earthquake has damaged a number of our shops and as part of the L'Aquila community, we have decided to act immediately not only by words, but by offering real help to people damaged by the earthquake."
